Kaitum fly rods have a crisp action which due to the reduced resin content in the blank is much more responsive and defined than former Guideline kit rods. The rod has a very user-friendly, medium fast taper that effortlessly delivers dry flies, nymphs and streamers alike. Kaitum rods feature high quality guides and come with a black aluminum reel seat with a black spacer.
The reel included in the Kaitum kit is no other than the Guideline FAVO 46. This new Guideline FAVO fly reel is inspired by the design of the popular Vosso reels. However, by using modern die-casting technology coupled with CNC finishing FAVO reels are comparatively lighter. Also this technology cuts down material costs resulting in a very attractive price and high value for money ratio. Featuring a solid, precise and smooth drag system that has proven well over years FAVO reels are reliable companions for fighting strong trout. The reel is pre-spooled with backing, a Guideline Custom WF floating line and a tapered leader.
