Lamson Centerfire HD Fly Reel citra

The Lamson Centerfire HD fly reel is the new workhorse from Lamson. The large fly reel is a the powerhouse par excellence and features only the toughest materials Waterworks-Lamson can call upon in the reel industry. Everything is designed to handle the strongest fish on the globe and for the reel to do its job for many years.

In designing the Centerfire, Lamson has drawn on the strongest and most reliable elements from over a quarter century of fly reel production. The brake system consists of the IPX8 waterproof Cobalt brake system, which is not only very strong, but also perfectly compensates for the irregular power pull of the fish. In addition, the reel has a power arm design and load path reinforcement, so even enormous forces are not a problem when cranking with heavy drag. The spool shape in the Large Arbor design offers a fast line pull-in and a lot of space for backing, which also dries quickly due to the generous recesses. The brake knob on the waterproof Cobalt system would also be designed for maximum power transfer, it is large and grippy, just what you need when things get hectic. Large and grippy is also the handle unlike the conventional reel handles, this is another plus when it comes to strong fish. Last but not least, the reel has been given a high-quality hard anodizing, this protects the reel from external environmental influences and shocks, for example during a boat trip.

In short, if you are still looking for a handsome workhorse for pike, catfish or predators from the tropical waters, the Centerfire HD (Heavy Duty) is perfectly equipped!

About Lamson:

Waterworks is immediately associated by most fly fishermen with the lightweight, reliable reels. Yet the origin of Waterkworks lies in a small, innovative tool. In 1996, Waterworks was founded by two anglers and product designers because they found a better solution to remove the fly from the fish's mouth faster and more gently. Named after their hometown in Idaho, the first Waterworks product, the Ketchum Release Tool, was launched in 1996.

Even before Waterworks was founded, product designers were working with high-quality components. Ryan Harrison honed his skills and knowledge in high-performance cycling, for example. Among other things, Harrison developed suspension technology for Cannondale mountain bikes, so he was already familiar with wheels in the frame.
It was only logical that the founders turned to fly reels after the release tool. Because fly reels were heavy, overly complex and unreliable at the time, so there was work to be done here. With the question in mind of what the perfect fly reel looks like, the ULA was born and represents the foundation of today's high quality fly reels. Together with Lamson, the fly reels, rods and accessories, now enjoy more than two decades of passion, innovation and solid engineering - with no end in sight.
