Greys Tail AW Fly Reel
With the Tail AW, the product developers from Greys in England present a very interesting member of their reel family. The 'AW' stands for 'All Water' and refers to the wide range of applications for these Di-Cast reels.
The Greys Tail AW is made from durable Di-Cast aluminium, which is then stripped of excess metal in two separate machining processes to create a modern, high-quality design. The Tail All Water has an anodised pre-treatment and a durable paint finish to ensure corrosion-free use in saltwater - for example, brackish water fishing for Pike or Sea Trout fishing in the Baltic Sea. It is also equipped with a sealed all-water disc brake system that produces a consistent drag of approx. 6kg (13 lbs). That is remarkable! Especially when compared to reels from this price segment. The sealed carbon brake system can be adjusted comfortably and runs smoothly during the fight.
We particularly like the modern, industrial Large Arbor design of the Tail AW. It ensures a high line retrieve and the large holes support fast drying of flying line and backing.
