Bauer RVR Fly Reel black gold

With the RVR series, the traditional company Bauer has once again succeeded. After three years of development, these fly reels not only put a bold exclamation mark in terms of design, but also mix up the premium fly reel segment from a technical point of view. When creating the modern RVR design, the experienced reel builders from Montana/USA quickly realized how challenging it is to work on such a complex fly reel. The complexity and double-anodized design of the RVR would have been too difficult to achieve on a conventional 3-axis machine, so they looked to the latest 5-axis machines available. With success, as the result clearly proves. The workmanship of the Bauer RVR fly reels is beyond reproach and flawless in every respect. Minimal gaps, beautifully flattened edges, filigree and at the same time stable struts and a handy brake knob, which can be adjusted smooth as butter - these are just some of the highlights. With different models, the RVR series covers most typical scenarios of modern fly fishing.

The Bauer RVR covers everything from fine dry fly fishing on the stream to challenging stillwater fishing for strong fighting Rainbows or saltwater fishing on the Baltic coast for Sea Trout. The different models feature a Large Arbor design, which drastically reduces the risk of memory and allows larger amounts of line to be spooled up quickly. By the way, this is especially fun with the beautiful knob made of fine hardwood. During the fight, the RVR's sealed carbon brake system works 100% reliably and the impressive brake pressure can be adjusted very precisely. This allows you to fish with thin leader tips. Also because the brake starts directly and extremely smoothly!

With the midnight black finish and the colored highlights as well as the lasered accents, the RVR fits wonderfully on any modern Trout rod. A beautiful fly reel of the extra class, in which we have immediately fallen in love. It convinces with its unique design and outstanding manufacturing quality and is a reliable partner for many years of fishing for Trout, Grayling, Barbel and others.

RVR 2/3: Small streams and rivers are the ideal waters for fishing with #2 and #3 line classes, where you won't need 100 yards of backing and a drag that can stop a steelhead. What you will need, however, is a light reel with a perfect drag to use fine leaders. Here you are!

RVR 4/5: Line and backing capacity, drag and weight of this reel were designed accordingly for larger Trout, bigger waters, longer casts and the more varied techniques associated with 4 and 5 weight rods. Whether you're fishing with a floating line or a light sink tip, dry flies or nymphs: This is the ideal reel for you!

RVR 6/7: A larger reel for the heavier line weights of Trout fishing. Ideal for chasing trophy fish with large, windy or heavy flies. The increased backing capacity is more than enough to handle the longest of runs downstream. Intended applications include streamer fishing with floating or sinking lines, stillwater fishing with floating, intermediate and full sinking lines, and handling the aggressively tapered belly lines needed to cast large dry flies, poppers, articulated streamers and double nymph rigs. Also ideal for coastal fishing for Sea Trout!
