About the IC3 Fly Reel:
Not only the rod series from the Norwegian manufacturer ArcticSilver, but also their IC3 Hubless Flyreel has a truly innovative design. It combines outstanding technical components, great workmanship and a modern, futuristic appearance.
This design masterpiece has a so-called “Click and Pawl“ drag system, which operates impressively smooth. It allows you to choose from three different settings for adjusting the drag according to the current fishing situation. Therefore, you will enjoy a classic, deep clicking sound in both directions – while the fish is running and while you are retrieving the line. Further, it has two large PEEK ball bearings with ceramic balls for a very smooth performance. In addition, a closed full frame makes this reel absolutely great for using thin running lines, and its large arbor design allows a fast line retrieve while fighting the fish of a lifetime. And due to its robust construction, this reel offers a superb overall performance. The cage and spool are made from very robust and light 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminium. In addition, all components are Type II anodized, which provides this reel with great wear and corrosion resistance.

All of these rods have one unique feature in common: the so-called Free-Flex-System including the Quick-Lock reel seat. This patented design allows the blank to swing inside the handle, which creates outstanding casting and fish fighting properties. In fact, ArcticSilver offers many different models that are suitable for a variety of different fly fishing disciplines – whether casting delicate dry flies for trout or massive streamers for large predators. In addition, ArcticSilver also presents a large selection of modern fly lines that have a very thin diameter due to their so-called Micro Diameter (MD) design.
