The Pike/Musky from Cortland is a short belly WF line with an aggressive front taper for effortless casting of weighted or bulky patterns. As the name suggests, the construction of this line is designed for fishing Pike and Musky - and of course all the other big predators we fish for with large streamers. Thanks to its strong sink rate (Sink8), we also like to use it for Huchen during wintertime.
The length of the head is a crisp 9.14m and most weight is shifted to the front part of the body. An ideal setup for all situations where you want to get a good load into the blank of your rod with just a little line outside the tip ring. And even if you're struggling with wind or have little room to cast, this line is a great help in serving your fly and getting it on target with pinpoint accuracy. A 15 ft. handling section gives you ideal control when casting and stripping the streamer. The head has a Sink8 rate so you can get your fly to depth quickly. Ideal for fishing from a boat, belly boat and whenever you don't have time for slow sinking. The slightly thicker running line features an intermediate sinkrate and offers a great feel.
The tip of the Pike/Musky fly line from Cortland is fitted with a neat loop for easy and quick connection to a leader. While the sinking tip is black, the rest of the coating is coloured in a rich olive. Thanks to the new X-Strong Core, this sinking line has a particularly high carrying capacity. This means you'll be ready for even the biggest predators in your homewaters.
