The Cortland Competition Slow Intermediate Fly Line is the ideal choice for fishing with streamers and wet flies of all kinds. Especially in fisheries where it comes to covering as much water as possible - for example at lakes, dams or the coast - thanks to the distance shooting design, this line really shines!

Its 13.4 meter long head is designed for long casts and effective fishing. Thanks to a sink rate of 1 IPS (2,5 cm/sec.), your fly sinks below the surface, where it is always in the field of vision of lurking biters. Since this is a continuous intermediate line, you can let it descend in a controlled manner after casting, so you can vary the running depth of your fly perfectly - and never have to change lines! Also a big advantage with a full sinking intermediate line is that you can fish very well under the wave and always have contact with the fly. The integrated running line has outstanding shooting characteristics, allowing fatigue-free fishing even after a full day of long distance casting. Two color markers in the head area also provide good orientation during the cast and while stripping, so you can always identify the position of the front end of the line.
