The young Scandinavian label NAM has conquered the hearts of many passionate Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon anglers in a very short time with its high-quality one-handed and two-handed rods. With good reason! Because the expertise of the minds behind NAM's products is immense and you immediately notice that practicality and technology go hand in hand here.

After the resounding success of the first and second generation of fly rods, it was only a matter of time before the right lines were added to the NAM family. And here they finally are!

All NAM fly lines are manufactured in the USA by RIO Products. No secret is made of this. On the contrary! The NAM team has deliberately chosen the American manufacturer of premium lines and draws on years of experience with successful Trout and predatory fish lines. The tapers and head weights of NAM fly lines are perfectly matched to the respective usage scenarios and rod classes - you will notice this right from the first cast.

For single-handed rods, three different models are available in the first generation: N-Type, A-Type and M-Type. Whereby the three letters not only represent the company name, but also briefly describe the typical application. The three models differ both in head length and overall length.

N-Type: No Space (7,1m head, 27m overall length)
A-Type: Allround (9,2m head, 29m overall length)
M-Type: Maximum Distance (10,8m head, 31m overall length)

About A-Type Lines

A-Type fly lines from NAM cover a very wide range of applications and are suitable for all casting styles - whether above the head or with an anchor on the water. The medium length head of 9.2 m works very actively, so with this floating line you can load your rod quickly and efficiently without having to rely on false casting. Thanks to its smooth taper, this line is very stable in the air and dry flies can be presented very gently. If you are looking for a versatile flying line for a wide variety of flies (dry fly, nymph, streamer), you have come to the right place! The smooth coating shoots with minimal fricton through the rings and because the line drifts very high on the water, precise mendings are easy to make.

A-Type lines are suitable for most situations, casting styles, fly types and target fish. The Taper is also suitable for beginners, as the immediate load in the blank increases the feeling for the right timing when casting. One of our new favourites among the universal WF lines. We recommend it without hesitation in the respective class for Trout, Sea Trout, Pike and Co.!
