The Cortland Salmon Steelhead fly line features an extra long belly of 19.8m. This allows you to keep your tube, your classic salmon fly or your bomber cleanly in the air and bring it precisely to distance. Thanks to the long back taper, the line is very stable in the air and roll casts are easy to make. For an effective turn-over of weighted flies or bushy bombers made of deer hair, the front taper is kept very short and also slightly overweighted. This line is therefore also ideal for single-handed sea trout fishing in Argentina, where there is often a very strong wind that makes presentation with conventional lines difficult. The Salmon/Steelhead from Cortland also transports bite indicators and nymph rigs without effort and allows you to fish very cleanly - even at long distances.
The Cortland Salmon Steelhead fly line has welded loops at both ends, making changing leaders very quick and easy. The coating drifts high on the water and makes it easy to lift the line and flip it over to control drift.
