Rio Premier LightLine DT fly line Floating

RIO's new Premier LightLine DT fly line Floating is designed specifically for lovers of fine presentation and traditional action of glass, bamboo and graphite rods. The Rio line corresponds exactly to the specified line class, so the sensitive blanks are not overloaded and it allows one to keep even large amounts of line in the air in a controlled way.

Similar to fiberglass rods, DT lines like the Rio Premier LightLine DT have enjoyed great popularity again in recent years - and quite rightly so, because this classic line type has so much to offer. While WF lines can only be laid down really smoothly on the water above a certain lobe length, DT lines are known for their very harmonious loop pattern and impressive precision at all distances. At the same time, the short front taper of the Rio Premier LightLine DT allows the rod to be loaded quickly even at close range.
Thanks to its Double Taper design, it also allows controlled casts for perfect fly presentation at distances beyond the head length of a WF line. It is also ideal for all kinds of roll and spey casts - not only at close range, but also at longer distances. And thanks to its powerful casting characteristics, it transports even very long leaders with ease, which is a great advantage especially when fishing for tricky fish. In addition, thanks to the so-called MaxFloat Tip Technology, it has a perfectly floating tip for a quiet and smooth take-off of the line.

(Note).
A first-class choice for lovers of soulful presentations: the Rio Premier LightLine DT fly line - a real pleasure to cast!

Rio Technology:

  •  Slick Cast
The name says it all! With this new technology, Rio has really shaken up the fly line market. Rio itself advertises it as the smoothest coating on the market. Shootability, noise minimization and longevity of the line are improved. We ourselves found the lines so smooth that we had to rein ourselves in a bit at first to avoid overshooting the metaphorical mark. So we can subscribe to Rio's claim
  • MaxFloat Technology
The completely new and in addition patented coating of the Rio MaxFloat tips ensures that the area floats twice as high as normal tips without increasing the diameter. This provides maximum floatation where it is needed most.

Details:

  • Modern DT floating line for fishing with dry flies, nymphs and co.
  • Short front taper for fast loading of the rod and fishing on small streams
  • Powerful casting characteristics for the use of very long leaders - ideal for fishing for tricky fish!
  • SlickCast: The smoothest and most durable coating on the market for superior casting performance and impressive durability!
  • MaxFloat Tip: Extremely buoyant coating in the line tip area for perfect presentation and quiet line lift-off
  • DualTone: Two-tone design with high-contrast transition
  • EasyID: A clear labeling for quick and easy identification of the line - confusion impossible!
  • Extremely strong, welded loops at both ends
  • Color: Moss/Ivory

Tip: DT lines have two lives! When you have fished through one side, you can simply turn it over and have a line with a virtually new tip. In addition, thanks to this feature, in the case of Rio Premier Technical Trout DT, you can always choose between two different colors.

Note: Max Float Tip, EasyID and welded loops, omitted for classes 000, 00 und 0.
