Absolute - this is the short and concise name of the new leader range from Scientific Anglers.
All Absolute monofilament leaders from Scientific Anglers are made from a special nylon blend that drastically reduces the absorption of water while ensuring optimum suppleness for high knot strength. Absolute nylon leaders and tippets have a 29% higher wet knot strength compared to previous Scientific Anglers materials and up to 40% higher wet knot strength compared to many other products on the market. The new Absolute range from SA comes with environmentally friendly paper-based packaging and is now 100% recyclable. All materials, colours and other components of the packaging are fully biodegradable to protect our rivers and oceans and reduce our environmental footprint.
The Absolute Stillwater Leader is 12 ft. (3.65 m) long and has a butt section in hot orange, which can be used as a bite indicator or visual aid at sea and on the river. The taper of short butt section and longer tippet section ensures that your nymph can sink faster and more freely. Due to its length, the Absolute Stillwater Leader is also ideal for clear water and extremely shy fish and can (if necessary) be supplemented with a nylon or fluorocarbon leader tip. A drawn leader made from first-class monofilament for fishing with or without bite indicators!
