It's no secret that we love fishing with nymphs for Trout, Grayling, Barbel and other species. We are particularly fond of fine nymph fishing with small patterns, thin leader tips and sensitive rods and are constantly on the lookout for suitable materials to perfect our set-up. In cooperation with a German line manufacturer, we have developed the adh-fishing Euro Nymph Mono. Strictly speaking, this is a special fluorocarbon with a monofilament coating. In practice, this material mix offers some key advantages, which we use for our nymph leader. The line serves us as a leader for French Nymphing or Euro Nymphing and can either be used completely untapered or as the basis for a custom taper. To knot your own tapered leader, different diameters of the material can be combined and joined together by a blood knot - from a shorter, thicker butt section to a longer, thinner front taper.
The adh-fishing Euro Nymph Mono has the advantage of being particularly stiff and abrasion-resistant due to the combination of FC and nylon. It has very little stretch and comes without memory from the large reusable ECO spool. The special leader clearly transmits gentle takes and is easy to spot against many different backgrounds due to its bright fluo-orange colour. Nevertheless, we usually combine the leader with a two- or three-coloured sighter of suitable strength to obtain an additional colour contrast - just as with other Euro Nymph leaders. Besides the high abrasion resistance of the material, our leader is characterised by a very good carrying capacity. Even the thin diameters, designed for ultra-fine nymph fishing with thin tippets and small patterns, offer high strengthand are very reliable.
Because our leader material comes on a 300 m spool, you can build many leaders and be ready for the whole season. Alternatively, you can spool all the material onto your fly reel and shorten it if it gets damaged. A great, cost effective alternative to thin nymph lines (which are usually 0.55mm to 0.60mm in diameter). We are very proud of this material and wish you tight lines when nymph fishing!

Tip: For a Euro Nymph setup we recommend at least 10 m adh-fishing Euro Nymph Mono + 30cm Sighter + Tippet. The connections can be made with a small tippet ring. Alternatively, knot the material directly together with a blood knot.
