Building on the success of the popular Triple-D shooting heads Guideline now presents their newest and most sophisticated shooting head system, the Guideline 4D Multi Tip. The taper of the 4D bellies is very powerful and has been designed to complement modern double-handed rods with a length of 13ft or longer. With its strong turnover Guideline 4D bellies turn over large, weighted flies and fast sinking tips with exceptional ease. All 4D Multi Tip shooting heads feature a double density construction which combined with Guideline 4D Tips results in a quadruple density gradient that seamlessly runs throughout the system with a super slick and even surface. The Advantages: the less dense rear belly picks up from and out of the water easier and allows for comfortable casting and mending. The denser front part helps to sink the tip and your fly into the right depth. Hence, compared to a conventional single density shooting head 4D lines cast more smoothly and effortlessly. Additionally, because the rear part of the belly sits higher in the water column than the front end 4D lines help to control the presentation of the fly and reduce mid line snagging during the swing. The great overall control and contact to the fly and fish further benefits from Guidelines Direct Core which has only 6% of stretch and up to 42lbs of breaking strength – one of the strongest double-hand line cores on the market today.
Easy matching:
Both 4D Bodies and 4D Tips are color coded to guarantee the correct combination of bodies and tips. Simply match the color of the sleeves on both tips and shooting heads and you will end up with a perfect setup (see table). E.g. an orange sleeved body fits to any tip with an orange mark on the sleeve.
