The Suck On This Streamer from Guideline is a variation of the famous Wooly Bugger. This pattern is characterised by the synthetic Jungle Cock and the discreet use of flash. This pattern is used with great success in both fresh- and saltwater for trout. In freshwater this fly is a very strong challenger to the legendary Kola Killer and we are sure this fly is no less good.
Originally this fly is designed to imitate leeches. The fly also does very well in saltwater where we find many species of beach worms in all colours and sizes. It imitates different species of beach worms found on sandy bottoms. This fly is mainly used in the spring and on dark early summer nights in the sea. This is when you fish it most effectively with a slow and long strip so that the marabou tail and body hackle pulsate nicely.
