The Børstemark (bristle worm) is a well-known fly for Sea Trout fishing. Especially in the period from March to early May these flies are very relevant. However, bristle worm imitations have been proven to catch all year round! This version is weighted with a bead and thus very universally - not only in shallow water.
When the water gradually gets warmer in spring, the bristle worms start to swarm. This is also called 'The Wedding'. So a few good worm imitations are an absolute must if you want to catch Sea Trout at this time of year. After spawning in the river, the Sea Trout are exhausted and very hungry. The swarming worms then provide a very easy and protein-rich food source. Sometimes they even hunt selectively and a matching imitation in the box in the right colour can decide between success or not.
