High-quality nymph by Guideline (Norway). Tied with first class materials, with Tungsten beads and a barbless jig hook.
The Beatis Quill Perdigon features a natural look and is therefor a great choice for clear water conditions. This little jig catches both Trout and Grayling and imitates a small, light colored mayfly.
A few years ago so called 'Perdigon Nymphs' were mainly used by competition fly fishermen from Spain. Nowadays they can be found in nymph boxes all over Europe. Their main characteristics are a fine tail made from Coq de Leon or other natural fibers, varnished body and a black thorax. Due to their slim silhouette they reach the bottom very fast, but are aditionally weighted with tungsten beads. As a result of the special way of tying smaller hooks can be used, which is a big plus when fishing for selective and educated trout and grayling.
Tipp: These nymphs are fished the most effective with long (10 ft. or 11 ft.) and sensitive fly rods (#2 or #3) and thin leaders.
