The Mayfly Special Jig is a highly versatile nymph that you can use to imitate different mayflies. The soft hackle of this pattern makes for a vibrant play in the current and is a magnet for trout, grayling, barbel and others. The combination of tungsten bead and jig hook means you can offer this nymph very close to the bottom, where the big fish often feed most. You can also offer it in midwater and imitate a rising mayfly that is already developing its wings. A super catchy pattern for the whole season that we have in different sizes and weights in the box.
