An effective imitation of a dragonfly larva that can be an absolute weapon especially in ponds, lakes and slow flowing rivers. The Dragon Fly catches all year round, but especially in spring and summer, when dragonflies hatch, it should not be missing in your fly box. You fish them especially effectively with short, fast strips paused by short sinking phases. Opportunistic fish like to grab exactly in these pauses.
The Mop Dragon is tied from a special chenille. The fluffy material is spun around a woven yarn and has been shaped with a lighter. This makes the bow tie very sturdy and has the perfect stiffness without rolling over. In terms of color, the imitation underwater matches exactly its natural model in dark brown-olive. The pattern is very lightly weighted and perfectly balanced. This is also helped by the spandex legs, which vibrate seductively under water.
Tip: Before fishing lightly moisten or even treat with a little sinking agent. So the fly fishes effectively from the very first second.
