This Damsel Nymph imitates the larva of the small blue damsel flies that surround us during summer fishing at rivers and lakes. Swimming through open water, these large nymphs are easy to catch for trout and other fish. That's why you should never miss one of those in your fly box.
For best results you want to fish them in slow moving waters or shallow bays and move them with long, slow strips. Also short rests where the fly can slowly sink or raising your fly rod to lift it can add a key impulse for hungry fish. Such a large protein bar won't be denied by many trout. ;-)
