The Hot Head is a mayfly larva that looks particularly attractive due to its hotspot on the head. The larva is natural colors to best match the water bottom of the mostly brown or beige stones. A pattern that catches especially well just before the mayfly hatch, because the fish usually do not miss the tidbits richly filled with protein. After the long winter, the fish are almost waiting for it.
