The short but very powerful Dr. Slick Barb Pliers presses barbs in seconds, even on large saltwater flies used in the tropics or streamers for pike or zander. So it is obvious that the barbs of smaller flies are no problem for the Barb Tongs. Catch&Release is practiced more and more and many fly fishers already press their barbs on all waters, not only where it is necessary. To make this step easy to perform even on large hooks of class #1 or larger, we use the Dr.Slick Barb Pliers. The small powerful pliers turns a big barbed predator hook into a barbless hook in a flash, which is especially pleasing to the small pike we want to put back quickly.
