adh-fishing Pitzenbauer Rings / Tippet Rings on threader
So small, so practical! Tippet rings are a great help in practice, as they facilitate the connection between the leader/polyleader and the tippet.
The special feature of the adh-fishing Tippet Rings is that the 10 rings sit secured on a practical threading aid. This makes knotting much easier and is easy on the eyes too! For the assembly you only have to put the leader through the thin wire loop and then pull the Pitzenbauer ring onto the monofilament or fluorocarbon. Ready! A quick and easy solution where losing the small rings is almost impossible :)
Our smooth, strong Pitzenbauer rings are available in three sizes and are therefore suitable for many different situations: From fine dry fly fishing for Trout and Grayling to fishing for Sea Trout and even Steelhead.
The advantage of tip rings is well known: They are knotted to the end of a conical leader or polyleader and supplemented by a piece of tippet. This way the conical leader or polyleader keeps its original length and does not get shorter after each fly change. Tippet rings are also used in modern nymph fishing to connect a sighter made of coloured monofilament between leader and tippet. A further and very big advantage is the use of tipping rings if you want to combine a monofilament with a floucarbon. If you knot a monofilament directly together with a fluocarbon, the strength of knot is very low, because the fluocarbon has a sharper surface and shaves off the monofilament in the knot. The use of a tipping ring prevents this. The same applies to the connection of two cords with very different diameters.
Contents/pack: 10 leader rings, seamless
Outer diameter of the rings:
- 1.5 m (Trout) = approx. 7 kg
- 2 mm (Trout, Sea Trout) = approx. 12 kg
- 3 mm (Steelhead etc.) = approx. 20 kg
Tip: The threader of the adh-fishing tippet rings has the same size as the threaders from C&F Design and can therefore be stored in the popular C&F Design fly boxes.
