Monics Microslick Floating Preparation is a gel-like liquid that is applied to a dry fly with the fingers to improve the fly's ability to float.
Simply put a little of the liquid on your index finger and rub the Microslick floatant into the fly with the preparation between your index finger and thumb. Once the preparation is absorbed into the fibers, water cannot penetrate and the fly floats longer on the water surface. And it does this even in strong currents, with some turbulence. It is also a good help to smear bite indicators like the New Zealand Strike Indicator with the preparation when heavy nymphs want to be offered.
