The EP® Hollow Popper from Enrico Puglisi is a real revolution on the water surface - and a must-have for all fly fishermen who love spectacular bites and explosive surface action. Developed as a modern evolution of the legendary Flex Turbo Popper, it brings over 20 years of experience to a completely new design: light, aerodynamic and incredibly effective.
Thanks to its innovative hollow head design, this popper can be cast effortlessly and accurately - even with an 8wt rod. The dense closed-cell foam head displaces an enormous amount of water, creates strong pressure waves and reliably lures even shy predators to the surface. As soon as a fish grabs hold, the hollow head collapses, exposing the hook bend and enabling an almost 100 % hook-up rate.
Whether in the mangroves for snook or baby tarpon, on the coast for stripers and sea bass or at home for pike, asp or perch - this popper catches wherever predators hunt on the surface. With a length of approx. 10-12 cm and a strong hook, it is the versatile choice for aggressively predatory target fish.
Tip: For maximum performance, we recommend a weighted WF floating line or a floating line with an intermediate tip, combined with a 5-7 ft fluorocarbon leader (30-50 lb, depending on the target fish species).
