Trout are unique and diverse. Hardly any other fish has a wider range of favourite foods and habitats. Sometimes we fly fishermen have to serve up the smallest mayflies on thin leaders to trick a trout into rising. Sometimes, on the other hand, it is leeches on sinking lines that entice trout to bite. It is therefore almost impossible to develop a model range that really covers all the requirements of modern trout fishing. Nevertheless, the experienced product developers at ECHO and founder Tim Rajeff have succeeded in achieving something very special with the TROUT fly rod: These single-handed rods are designed for the typical range of fishing applications within a radius of 9 metres to 16 metres. This is exactly the radius in which we catch most of our trout. In addition, each model has a customised action that is precisely matched to the typical application scenarios.
To protect lighter tippets, ECHO has developed a fast action design with an ultra-sensitive tip area in the lighter classes. To make it easier to transport heavier sinking lines and bushy flies or streamers, the tip area of the higher classes has been reinforced. This makes it much easier to lift more line from the water. Fishing with nymph rigs or bite indicators is also optimised as a result. The makers at ECHO have once again worked closely with guides and professional fly fishermen to achieve this and have incorporated invaluable practical experience. The Trout fly rods are equipped with an innovative handle design that allows different hand positions. The elegant finish with the matt black blank and the blue decorative wraps is a feast for the eyes and the black reel seat made of anodised aluminium has a matching blue slider ring to secure the reel foot.
