The Daiwa Saltiga Air Portable is a multi-piece travel rod designed specifically for uncompromising use and the toughest fishing conditions in tropical waters. Thanks to its transport lengths of 67cm to 78cm, it can be easily stowed in your luggage without having to resort to an expensive rod transport tube.
The Saltiga Air Portable series lineup offers a wide selection of rods for use in the tropics and other big fish areas. With these rods, fighting target fish like GT, Tun, Cubera, Amberjack, Rooster & Co can be fished and drilled safely. Blank, reel seat, ringing and plug connections are therefore of particularly high quality. The HVF carbon fiber blanks with X45 technology make the rods extremely resilient and torsion-resistant, which ensures precise casts and controlled guidance at all times. The backbone of the Saltiga rods offers enormous power reserves to force big fish and keep them away from reefs or other obstacles at maximum brake setting. The tip action efficiently accelerates the bait and allows very good casting distances. Underwrapped Fuji SiC double web K-rings provide no weak point even at the highest loads. V-Joint connectors, reinforced with special BIAS carbon fiber material, are incredibly robust and allow for a very even bending curve, so that hardly any difference can be felt compared to a two-piece rod. The original Fuji reel seat with double screw holds large, heavy spinning reels permanently and prevents loosening during fishing. Ergonomically shaped Hard-EVA grips fit perfectly in the hand and provide optimal power transmission to prevent rapid fatigue while fishing. The Daiwa Saltiga Air Portable is rounded off by a Pacbay end cap and a semi-hard transport case. Depending on the model, this rod is also great for fishing in Norway for cod, coalfish and halibut.
