The Daiwa BG MQ is the further development of the popular, extremely resilient and robust BG series. Due to the monocoque construction, the role is much more compact, lighter and more powerful than the previous model and has thus become a true benchmark for other manufacturers.
The MQ design makes it possible to make the gear wheel up to 40% larger, depending on the model size. This significantly improves durability, load capacity and power transmission. The Tough Digigear gear is mounted in a torsionally stiff aluminum body, which ensures optimal mounting of the gear and thus guarantees a secure hold and smooth running over a long period of time. The smooth running is complemented by the six ball bearings and the immensely high performance by the ATD drag system with carbon discs, which develop a drag force of 12 kg and thus stops even the most violent escapes of large saltwater fish without problems.
The milled aluminum crank with the Hi-Grip crank knob ensures that the required forces are transferred precisely, durable and safe. Another special feature is the Longcast ABS spool, which, in combination with the precise Crosswrap line routing, enables particularly long casting distances and thus fishing in spots that others do not even reach.
The Daiwa BG MQ is super robust, combined with a decidedly smooth running behavior. Thus, the reel is suitable for both medium-heavy fishing in freshwater or saltwater fishing for powerful fish of the seas. The reel will serve you very well, whether jigging for pollock, cod and coalfish or big pike, zander, asp or catfish.
