This floating saltwater fly line is optimized for the special requirements of fly fishing for predatory fish: Fast, precise casts at medium distances with large, wind-catching and sometimes also weighted fly patterns, such as streamers, crab imitations and poppers. Of course, this fly line is also suitable for any species of fish, which you chase in warm waters under the hot sun with particularly large, wind-catching patterns. The Redfish Taper Fly Line is great for fishing for Pike, Catfish, Perch or Carp under the hot Spanish sun, for popper fishing Bluefish in the Mediterranean or on Peacock Bass in the Amazon.

The Cortland Redfish Taper Fly Line has an exceptionally short, powerful head with a length of only 8.5 meters and an extremely short front taper which helps quickly load your rod and present the fly. The solid core of nylon monofilament prevents unwanted tangles in tight places, especially when fly fishing by canoe or kayak. The stiff and abrasion-resistant Tropic Plus Coating guarantees excellent casting and shooting characteristics even at high temperatures and in intense UV exposure.
The Redfish Taper fly line charges the fly rod with a short line length and casts like a cannon. It has welded loops at both ends for quick and secure connection to the leader and backing. A great line for predatory fly fishing!
