For over 100 years Cortland has been designing and developing some of the most innovative fly fishing lines in the industry. All Cortland lines are made with the newest technologies and materials in their Cortland, NY (USA) factory.
Cortland's Long Belly Spey Lines are designed with an 18.1 meter-long head for two-handed rods in 13’ to 15’ of length in the line classes 7 to 10. The necessity of shortening or cutting your line to customize it for your specific rod is eliminated with these unique Spey lines.
The head profiles are optimally proportioned for Spey casting and the super-smooth, supple Precision Coating ensures perfectly controllable D-loops and rolls out on the water with a complete extension of the leader. The running lines portion has Cortland’s stiffer PST™ coating, which gives them particularly good shooting characteristics and mending abilities. The head and running line have different colors, so you will always be able to see the exact right line length for starting your Spey cast. Even normal roll casts and overhead casts work with ease on this Long Belly Spey Line.
Precision Long Belly Spey Fly Lines are equipped with welded loops at both ends for a quick and easy connection with the leader and the backing.
