Despite the light material, the Simms Superlight Shorts have an impressive sun protection factor of 50 - perfect for a sunbath with the fly rod. While other trousers (especially dark colours) heat up in the sun, the lighter Superlight Shorts always feel pleasantly cool with their light fabric. If you like to weigh down your Superlight Shorts there are plenty of pockets available. These include two side pockets and two back pockets, one of which has a practical zip. The waistband in this new series is equipped with a wide, elasticated waistband, which always ensures a comfortable and flexible fit of the trousers.
The short version is probably the lightest pant in the entire Simms range and you really hardly feel it when wearing it. However, you should definitely include sunscreen. Every exposed area of skin is at risk of sunburn in the summer. This is especially true when wading, as the reflections on the water increase the UV radiation.
