Filson Skagit Rain Jacket peat

The Filson Skagit Rain Jacket is a rain or wading jacket that allows you to expose yourself to the hardest conditions without feeling unprotected. Breathable, extremely durable and equipped with ingenious features, it is one of the most resistant jackets on the market.

The Filson Skagit wading jacket is designed specifically for the stormy and cold months, even places in this world. It has a classic wading jacket cut, with high-set chest pocket, which are equipped with a microfleece from the inside. They provide extreme protection against the freezing cold and even when you are deep in the water waiting for the next bite. The microfleece is also found at the end of the water-resistant YKK® AquaGuard® front zipper, where it makes the high-rise collar extremely comfortable to wear. The hood of the Filson Skagit can of course be adjusted with a drawstring and offers the best protection against wind and water. From penetrating water, the arms are also protected, because the cuffs of the sleeves are equipped with a special neoprene and a Velcro closure, which can be ideally adjusted to the arm. So even when throwing the water can not run down the arm and creep inside the jacket. On the front of the jacket are two very spacious pockets, which can accommodate even large fly boxes. The zippered pockets are oriented to the center, so that quick access is always guaranteed. Also inside the Skagit jacket we find pockets where you can put important things such as a key. But the genius of this jacket is certainly the robust RainCloth material, which withstands even when you hike through dense undergrowth and brush the bushes or trees on the way to the river, because this is really no problem for the RainCloth material!

  • RainCloth
Rain Cloth™ is a three-layer fabric consisting of an extremely tough, tightly-woven nylon shell with a waterproof/breathable membrane laminated to its interior. The membrane is full of millions of microporous holes that are too tiny for water to penetrate, yet allow vapors to escape to the outside, keeping you dry and non-sweaty. On the interior is a brushed tricot backer that adds warmth and aids in the dispersion of moisture. To ensure fully-waterproof protection, all seams are sealed with waterproof, flexible tape. Unique to Skagit Rain Jacket, the Rain Cloth™ shell fabric is optimized to excel in the specific conditions a hardcore angler may encounter. The 5.3-oz. nylon is extremely resistant to punctures and tears, keeping the waterproof membrane protected from the thorns and brush often found while bushwhacking down to the river.

The Filson Skagit jacket is an ingenious and really extremely robust jacket, whose material is not only breathable, but also just extremely abrasion resistant. It also offers above-average protection against cold and wind, as well as against water penetrating the sleeves. Thus, the next adventure can come, whether in Munich or Mongolia, the Skagit jacket is versatile and withstands any climate.

About Filson:

Filson - Rugged quality for over 125 years. Born in 1850, C. C. Filson inherited the pioneering spirit and love of nature from his father. After establishing a settlement in Nebraska and moving across the country as a railway conductor, he moved to the small town of Seattle, Washington in the 1890s. There he started his own company and became the first go-to place for hundreds of gold diggers heading north during the gold rush of the late 19th century. Since then, the name 'Filson' has been synonymous with uncompromising quality and robust materials! And after the gold diggers, it was mainly hunters, anglers, sailors and miners who appreciated Filson's robust and comfortable outdoor clothing. And this has not changed until today!
