The Cheeky Tyro fly reel is a classic, three spoke center core fly reel that is available in 3 different sizes covering line classes #2 to #8. The Tyro fly reels are lightweight aluminum fly reels that are also extremely affordable.
The Tyro fly reel is a lightweight and very durable fly reel that is made of aluminum. The reel manufacturing is a combination of aluminum die casting and a high quality CNC machining in a lightweight 3-spoke design. Inside the Tyro fly reel is the proven and award winning Rev Carbon Drag System. The system consists of alternating carbon and stainless steel discs that provide braking power, friction control, heat dissipation and an incredibly smooth start-up. Brake efficiency can be fine-tuned in 3 turns via the large, easy-grip brake knob. From very low resistance to a closed brake. The spool of the Tyro reel has a large capacity, so there is always enough room for a few extra meters of backing in addition to the fly line. The finish of the Tyro reel is matte black and is complemented by individual CNC machined surfaces that have been anodized orange. Overall, a great, high performance fly reel at a more than fair price.
- Cheeky Tyro 300
The 300 Tyro fly reel is the smallest variant of the series and is intended for fly rod classes #2 - #4. This small fly reel is perfect for use on small streams, trout or whitefish.
- Cheeky Tyro 350
If you are looking for a reel for light streamer fishing, the 350 is your best bet. The 350 Tyro with has a diameter of 89 cm and a capacity for fly lines of class #5 - #6. Trout, perch and other medium-sized predators and peaceful fish are the ideal area of application for this reel.
- Cheeky Tyro 375
The 375 is the largest of the three Cheeky Tyro reels, it already has a large spool diameter in Large Arbor design with 95 cm diameter and holds a fly line class #7 - #8 including backing of course. Sea trout in the Baltic Sea or in the river, as well as carp or other fish are no challenge for the Cheeky Tyro 375. Even for light pike fishing with class #8 the 375 is suitable.
