There's plenty of food at the river bottom. That's why sometimes your nymph needs to stick out of the rest and has to attract trout and grayling - even if you're presentation is good. In modern nymph fishing patterns with a so called 'hot spot' are therefor very common. This special stimulus can be created at the tying bench by adding colorful tags/tails or necks to your nymph.

Brass Neck Rings offer an easy way to create hot spot patterns. Besides, they give some extra weight to your nymph. Just combine them with regular (tungsten)beads. The smaller version fits perfectly to our 3,3mm tungsten beads whereas the bigger version fits 3,8mm beads. Of course both can be combined with any other diameter too.
