In our workshop with Martin, Paulo, and Alex, we focus on the right tackle for pike fishing, reliable rigs, the most effective patterns, casting large flies, and of course, the best tactics for catching Esox lucius. In a small group, we spend two full days on the water and show you what we have learned about pike over the past 15 years. In addition to the goal of catching pike together, we cover all the fundamental topics about this predator and its habitat.
Rügen is a first-class destination for pike fishing, and fishing there in November and December often promises big fish. With us, you will learn what matters when choosing a fishing spot and how to fish a spot effectively. Temperature, water levels, wind direction, and many other factors play a role if you truly want to be successful at pike fishing. And in our workshop, you will learn how to interpret these external factors and make the right decisions on the water.
The following key topics will be covered:
- Accurately assessing the conditions (weather and water)
- Choosing the right spot
- Selecting and presenting the right lure
- Identifying potential holding areas
- Casting large pike flies
- Assembling and rigging rod, reel, line, leader, and fly
- Safely playing and landing fish
