After developing the rod series Ahku, Flada, Leka, Meri, and Tiraphene, AAVA's goal was to create a new rod series that wasn't primarily focused on specific target fish species, but rather entirely tailored to specific fishing styles, techniques, and needs.
The Tyyli rods were developed by AAVA with a clear focus on a particular fishing style or requirement. AAVA's Tyyli series offers rods for various types of hardbait fishing, finesse rods for Ned Rig and Drop Shot, as well as multi-piece rods for hiking and travel. The blanks are made of high-modulus graphite combined with graphene-reinforced resin, making the rods lightweight, sensitive, and providing fast recovery. The rod actions vary greatly, as they were designed by AAVA for different applications. For example, the finesse rods are very fast with a sensitive tip to ensure no bite goes unnoticed. The rods for hardbait fishing, on the other hand, are softer to prevent fish from tearing off, even with small treble hooks. The components were carefully selected by AAVA for the various styles, from handle lengths to guide sizes.
